Pietro Psaier
Biography
Pietro Psaier was a skilled artist with watercolours, oils and pencil. It has been said that he was known as “Peter the Italian” by Warhol and his studio. His most popular subjects included Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles, Mick Jagger and many other famous celebrities of the period. He became a reclusive enigma and died in 2004 as a result of the Tsunami produced by the Indian ocean earthquake which swept away his remote Sri Lankan beach house.
